Volunteers needed to rebuild Stadium Place playground

"As you probably know, Our Playground at Stadium Place was tragically burned this past September, 2008. The tot-lot and the swings are fine. All the parts that were destroyed will be rebuilt, by volunteers like you, between May 5th and 10th this spring!" Go here for details.

It's easy to recycle in the city and county

To find out what you can recycle and when it gets picked up, visit the recycling sites of Baltimore County or Baltimore City. (~~Did you know they don't recycle pizza boxes or yogurt containers?~~ They do now!)

You can also learn there how to recycle electronics, such as old VCRs, cell phones and computers, which are full of toxins that are best left out of the trash.

Plastic bags can be recycled at most grocery stores, and batteries and compact flourescent bulbs can be recycled at Ikea (the bins are located near the returns counter).
