Baltimore County lawmaker seeks to ban fliers in doors

He says it's a nuisance and a source of litter. Others say the ban would stifle free speech and could even impact community newsletters. Here's the story in The Towson Times.

It's easy to recycle in the city and county

To find out what you can recycle and when it gets picked up, visit the recycling sites of Baltimore County or Baltimore City. (~~Did you know they don't recycle pizza boxes or yogurt containers?~~ They do now!)

You can also learn there how to recycle electronics, such as old VCRs, cell phones and computers, which are full of toxins that are best left out of the trash.

Plastic bags can be recycled at most grocery stores, and batteries and compact flourescent bulbs can be recycled at Ikea (the bins are located near the returns counter).
