Can't wait to try La Cakerie

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook today. I didn't realize this place offered so much more than cupcakes: "I stopped in the greatest new bakery in Towson today. Right on Chesapeake Avenue and parking behind the store for customers. The cupcakes were delicious! Please check out this place and support the owner! We need places like this in Towson. Coffee, lunch, sweets - you will love it."

It's easy to recycle in the city and county

To find out what you can recycle and when it gets picked up, visit the recycling sites of Baltimore County or Baltimore City. (~~Did you know they don't recycle pizza boxes or yogurt containers?~~ They do now!)

You can also learn there how to recycle electronics, such as old VCRs, cell phones and computers, which are full of toxins that are best left out of the trash.

Plastic bags can be recycled at most grocery stores, and batteries and compact flourescent bulbs can be recycled at Ikea (the bins are located near the returns counter).
