The pool board says this is the deal: $250 with application due by the end of February. Remainder of balance due in 3 equal monthly installments of $750 each due on April 15, May 15 and June 15. And if for some reason the pool doesn't happen, you get all your money back.

Read about it in Patch. Word on the street is that some kids will be annexed to Ridge Ruxton, which is just a few yards away. And then the county will do a major redistricting when it opens a new elementary school in the Towson/Timonium area.
The Towson Circle III development (see location below) has always planned to have a large theater as its anchor, and today county officials announced who has agreed to operate it. Other details were also announced. Read about it in Patch.com. And a longer article in The Sun.

From the Towson Police: The Towson Investigative Services Unit is looking for a vehicle possibly responsible for copper gutter thefts in the Towson Precinct. Witnesses have provided the following information pertaining to the vehicle:
- An older pickup truck white in color with rust on the body. The truck also has a ladder rack affixed to the bed.
- The truck has "64P" in the beginning of a Maryland tag.
- The driver of the vehicle can best be described as a white male in his mid to late 50's with some facial hair.
If anyone locates or stops the vehicle [I'm pretty sure they don't want civilians to stop him], please positively identify the driver and vehicle and forward all information to Detective Matt Barnes #5027 or call 410-887-5508.

(the board member coordinating the recycling event) asked for a reminder that there is a charge to recycle TVs: "They will take televisions but for a charge of $10 ; they will accept cash or check payments. The charge is due to the hazardous materials inside the televisions. Otherwise, everything else that can be plugged in or takes batteries is FREE: from cell phones to vacuums, light fixtures (absent the light bulbs) to toasters. If it can be plugged in or takes batteries and does not contain hazardous materials it will be accepted for free."

From a friend of mine in the Forge: "A police officer just came to my door (300 block of Hopkins) and said an elderly woman who lives across the street had her purse snatched as she got out of her car in front of her house around 2:00 this afternoon. Suspect in a white minivan or station wagon, white male 65-70. If you could let people know so they can be on the lookout, that would be great!"
Parents, Players, and Umpires -
Registration is now OPEN !!!! It closes March 11th.
To encourage early registration, the fees will be increased by $10 in each division starting March 1st. So register early at www.trcbaseball.org.
The fees this year have been increased. While we have not raised them in over 10 years, the prices of equipment, uniforms, food, and umpires has been doing the opposite.
Those 11 to 16+ year olds that want to ump, must register under "Umpire Registration". The TU students must also register. The youth umpires must have baseball playing experience. This is explained on the registration page.
