Mt. Washington Tavern hosting Ravens TV promo this afternoon

A chance for your 15 minutes, or maybe 2 seconds, of fame ... and a free beer. Mt. Washington Tavern's Facebook page says:

"WJZ-TV | CBS WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore will be at the Tavern TODAY [Jan. 23] to film their Superbowl promo shot. Everyone is invited to don their best Ravens gear and show up between 4:15 and 4:45pm and you just may be on TV! If you wear your Ravens gear enjoy a free draft on us at the front bar between 4 and 5pm!"

It's easy to recycle in the city and county

To find out what you can recycle and when it gets picked up, visit the recycling sites of Baltimore County or Baltimore City. (~~Did you know they don't recycle pizza boxes or yogurt containers?~~ They do now!)

You can also learn there how to recycle electronics, such as old VCRs, cell phones and computers, which are full of toxins that are best left out of the trash.

Plastic bags can be recycled at most grocery stores, and batteries and compact flourescent bulbs can be recycled at Ikea (the bins are located near the returns counter).
