Stoneleigh 5K will honor Louis Lowenthal

The Stoneleigh Community Association is hosting its 13th annual 5K Fun Run/1-mile walk, better known as the Stoneleigh Stampede, on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 8:00 a.m.

This year, half of the proceeds will be donated in honor of Louis Lowenthal to the Towson High Boosters.  Louis Lowenthal died tragically on October 31, 2012 at the age of fourteen.  He attended Dumbarton Middle School and he was a freshman at Towson High School.  If participants sign up by May 12, the entry fee is only $20.00 per person.  The cost will be $25.00 after May 12.  Charm City Run will be timing the race.

People may further honor Louis during this race by raising money for a charity that closely resembles Louis' beliefs, Action for Healthy Kids.  All of the money raised stays in Maryland to help educate students about healthy eating and exercise.   The website address for this charity is:
