Huge "Towson Row" development announced

As the Sun noted in January, developers bought a huge piece of land in downtown Towson earlier this year. Today the developer and county officials released a few more details about the "transformational" downtown project, which will be located at Chesapeake, Susquehanna and Washington avenues off York Road.

The county says the project is planning to have:
  • About 200,000 square feet of Class A office space
  • 350 luxury high rise apartments and condominiums
  • Over 1,000 garage parking spaces
  • 200 limited service and extended stay hotel rooms
  • 300 quality student housing units
  • Over 100,000 square feet of retail, shops, restaurants and an upscale grocery store
